Could all anglers take particular care in ensuring all gates on our waters, particularly on the Reydon complex, are closed once you have passed through them. Also to ensure locks are locked on the members only waters.
Unfortunately this reminder has become necessary following a report that the gate to Reydon Pit 2 was left wide open last night (Tuesday 16th July).
Significant amounts of money have been spent erecting predator proof fencing to protect our stock and such acts clearly put fish at risk. Consequently, the Committee would take a very hard line should anybody be identified as having left gates open.
What’s changed, I have stopped fishing Southwold waters because of the idiots that fish it, especiallly when 100kl of boilies along with bars of salt goes in , all the gear no idea comes to mind. I am talking pit 2
I arrived at lake 2 at 4.35 & the gate was wide open, unloaded gear & entered lake, closed gate & shot the bolt but all I could do was to drape the chain through the lock, padlock not in view.
